Cool Globes progress...
Our Cool Globes project is going well. We have just about finished our paper mache and are beginning to add on our land masses and then to decorate our globes.
Here is some information on our plans for our finished pieces.
Remember we are basing our themes on causes and effects of NOT looking after our "Cool Globe"!!
Our theme is what the world was and what it will look like in the future. One half of our globe will be blue with green land and green sequins on the land and maybe a whale in the sea. On the other half it will be brown and the land will be a different shade of brown and we will have bark or brown fabric on the land as well. This shows that back in the day the world was a more healthy place and there more animal species but if we continue what we are doing, in the near future the world might be a horrible place without some animals for people to enjoy. Ellie, Chloe, Beth & Ben.
Our theme is carbon footprints which is a reflection of all the carbon emmissions that we make individually. We are going to create a black sea representing pollution, and a tin foil reflective land - representing recycling and we will spray paint on red footprints on the tin foil. Tom, Claudia Rachel and Sam.
Our theme for our globe will be recycling. When we recycle, old can become new. This is something we need to do more, and if we do, our seas will stay blue and clean and no fish will suffer from a dirty habitat and they will not lose their lives/homes:(We are going to cover our land mass in bits of recyclable cans. We will also paint our sea dark blue. Having our sea dark blue, the cans will really show up on our land. Joey, Jack, Julia and Shannon G
Our globe is themed around the importance of plant matter and its effects on our atmosphere. On our globe our sea will be light blue with metallic green in it, we will then paint the land a metallic green which represents the greenness of plants and how important they are to our atmosphere..We will then stick red, yellow and orange flowers with green leaves representing the beauty of plants and flowers in our natural world. Sheena and Catherine , Adam.
We are planning to paint our Globe Dark blue and red.Our theme will be car pollution. We will have endless roads around our Globe and will stick cars onto our globe. The colour red will be on our land masses as if they are burning from the burning of fossil fuels (ie) petrol and other fuel. Shannon N and Poppi, Holly.
