We are a class of 24 very cool year 7/ 8 Students , 9 boys and 15 Girls!
Find out all about us and follow our exciting year ahead on our brand new BLOG!!
I went on the maths website and went on measure. I played some of the games and then did a quiz at the end. I learned what to use to measure long distances and short distances. It was really fun playing the games as you are learning at the same time. :)
I learnt that percentages are a commonly used in our everyday lives and that graphs also help to represent data like in the average and range video the average can help to show when sales may be needed. Overall very interesting!
I watched the videos about 3D shapes and plans and also did the quizzes. I learnt that when design plans are made the scale is usually 50:1 and that when people stack boxes onto pallets they have to follow a 3D plan to make sure that they put the right amount of boxes on the pallet and that the boxes are stacked properly so they are safe in transit.
I watched a video on measuring it explained how 1cm go's into meters. It then asked me to do a quiz on what I had just learnt. So I know how to convert cm into mm, cm into m, m into km and all the meanings.
