Cool Globes 'a la' Whio!!

This week we begun our own cool globes project. We managed to get hold of some extra large spherical balloons which we are covering in papier mache.

 

We have been looking at the cool globes website to start thinking of some great ideas to decorate our globes with the purpose of either demonstrating the effects of global warming or to promote a more environmentally friendly way to live.

Cool Globes! Inspiration for our new art project this term...

Your project, which will be created in pairs will involve creating your own ( smaller!) globe which also is reflecting on some of the causes and effects of global warming. Explore this website - particularly the gallery to see what inspired these artists in America.

Your first job will be to create a paper mache globe which we will begin tomorrow ( Friday) with balloons.
While this is being created we will need to thin k about what theme you will choose to create your earth. Use your art sketch books to collect ideas and try out effects.
